​Throwing on the Wheel - 6 Week Classes

A 6-week course learning to use the potters wheel to 'throw' pots.  The teaching on this course will be delivered over 6 consecutive weeks of 3 hour lessons.  The course will cater for complete beginners as well as potters looking to improve their basic throwing skills.

Classes run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (0930 - 1230) and Tuesday evening (1830-2130).
The Fees are £220 for the 6-week term and these are inclusive of materials and firings up to the glaze limit of 15 litres. Excess firing charges apply beyond 15 litres @ £3/litre.

1-to-1 Throwing Tuition

​One to one sessions are available on request.  These sessions are  designed for members and non-members  wanting to experience or develop their skills on the wheel.  Sessions are aimed at individuals and are typically delivered on Saturdays..

An individual 1-2-1 throwing lesson with Rob Towler at Clay @The Fold.

Lessons last 90 minutes and include 2 pieces of work (equivalent to 1lb of clay each) fired through to glaze. postage of finished work is additional if required.

An individual 1-2-2 throwing lesson with Rob Towler at Clay @The Fold. This session(s) are for you and another person getting 1-2-2 tuition with Rob. Only one wheel will be used to ensure you both get Rob's full attention.

Lessons last 90 minutes and include 2 pieces of work (equivalent to 1lb of clay each) fired through to glaze, one for each person. Postage of finished work is additional if required.
