A 4-day Wood firing course at Clay@The Fold

Timings: Day 1 from 10am.
Price: £550 including firing and meals*. On-site camping possible at additional cost.
Description: Tom will lead a 4-day workshop to fire the double phoenix downdraft fast fire kiln at Clay@The Fold. The course is limited to 8 people and participant will be encouraged to bring a good quantity** of pots to include in the firing.
- Day 1: Wood and kiln preparation, glazing work, preliminary packing
- Day 2: Kiln packing, build and seal the wicket (door), ‘candling’ to condition the chamber and firebox, commence firing
- Day 3: Conclude firing, rest, background activity***
- Day 4: Unpack the kiln (pm)
* Supplied meals detailed in joining instruction (please note The Fold is a vegetarian site).
**Expected to be iro 20+ pots but you will be encouraged to bring more!!

Note: The cost of firing test pieces from the class is included.
Joining Instructions: Please note that joining instructions pertinent to the course will be sent out approximately two weeks before the course start date.

No refunds or transfers will be offered for workshop or class spaces cancelled by participants within 2 weeks/14 days of a booked event. If a cancellation is notified earlier than 2 weeks prior to a booked event the Company will endeavour to backfill the place. If this is possible the Company will then refund your booking, less processing fees of 20%.
