Penny will lead a 12 week throwing and hand-building class for people looking to develop their making skills. Ideally participants will already have some experience as this course is looking to push you to the next level rather than to introduce you to the basics.
There are 8 course places for 8 throwers and 4 hand-builders (please book accordingly) although there may be some flexibility to switch between throwing and hand-building when wheels become available.
Course fees include clay and glazes but firings are additional and are charged at £3.60/litre (equivalent to a large mug)
About Penny
After my first career teaching and then teacher training in various countries, it was my uncle and aunt, Joe and Trudi Finch, who sparked my passion for pottery and have provided me with many years of tuition and support. More recently, I took up an apprenticeship at Hookshouse Pottery with Chris White, which helped me refine my skills and focus on repetition throwing. I now enjoy dividing my time between making domestic stoneware pots and teaching.
