Location: The Clay Loft, Inchbrook Mill, Gydynap Lane, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL55EZ
Patia, a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association, was invited by Mick and Shelia Casson to join them a Wobage in 1990 and has been there ever since. Patia has exhibited her work internationally and her work is included in numerous collections around the world.
Working in both Porcelain and Earthenware Patia has developed and perfected a number of techniques in the application of slips treating clay very much as a canvass for experimentation with free, gestural application of slips. Patia's approach and trademark finishes make her work instantly recognisable.
In this two day workshop Patia will introduce a number of decorating techniques using slips on tiles, thrown and hand-built forms
The two days will include demonstrations by Patia but you should expect a lot of actual hands on as you practise the techniques on your own work made during the workshop.
This course is most suitable for intermediate makers and some experience using the wheel will be a benefit.
The fee includes all instruction and materials including up to 3 pots fired through to glaze.
Please note that lunch is not supplied. Lunch options will be offered in the joining instructions.
