![]() On Saturday 24th November Adrian Bates ran a beautiful little workshop teaching people how to make porcelain lanterns. The workshop was a wonderful festive tribute to clay and the enchantment of porcelain. Working with wafer thin slabs of porcelain Adrian introduced the methods of working with slips and textures to create a collection of the most beautifully delicate and translucent lanterns for tea lights. The photos below give some idea of the day. This popular workshop will be repeated at The Clay Loft in 2019 so watch this space.
